HOW TO STYLE A HOODIE
HOW TO STYLE A HOODIE
Hoodies, one of the most versatile clothing pieces you’d ever come across. You can dress it up in a little smart-casual look (with blazers), dress it down in a pair of jeans and various other ways.
Today, I’ll be opening your eyes to the various modern unique styles of wearing Hoodies.
1. Hoodie with Jeans: This is the most casual way to style a Hoodie. You can never go wrong with this. This keeps you warm on a chilly night, is a great option for a date outfit and is just a comfy “stay-at-home” outfit.
There is only one rule to this: go for not a skinny, but a slim fitted pair of jeans.
2. Hoodie with Shorts: Like Hoodie with jeans, you can never go wrong with this look. This is a “stay-at-home” and an athletic outfit. The only rule to this is to get a slim pair of shorts one or two inches above your knee. Never, I repeat, NEVER wear with cargo shorts.
3. Hoodie with Denim Jackets: Can you ever not look dashing in a denim jacket? They have been here for years and I don’t see them going anywhere anytime soon. Denim Jacket and Hoodie is an outing look. Whether it be a date or to chill with the guys, trust me, if you follow these rules, this will be your to-go outfit.
i. Opt for a fitted Hoodie
ii. Use different colour tones. That is, the denim, hoodie and pants should all be different but complementary colours.
4. Hoodie with Bomber Jackets: Bomber Jackets are Modern style pieces and unfortunately, not many people have mastered the art of styling them. A casual “I-put-in-a-little-effort” look is styling it with a hoodie. Bear in mind, because Bomber Jackets are somewhat loose, go for a thicker hoodie.
5. Hoodie with Joggers: I mean, who doesn’t like a pair of fitted joggers? Now, throw on a hoodie, like how you look? That’s the goal. Just like Hoodie and Shorts, this is a casual look but also an athletic fit. It is a standard gym fit, but it can also be worn to chill at home.
Finally,
6. Hoodie with blazers: This is referred to by myself and other stylish dudes as the Smart-Casual look. Wearing a fitted Hoodie, throw on a tailored blazer and trouser to kill this look. If you are not the best at mixing colours, start easily like Black Hoodie and Dark blue Blazer and trouser, you can’t go wrong here.
No matter what style you decide to choose, adding items like rings, necklaces, watches and bracelets WILL make your outfit pop.
That's it from Me today, Always remember, "DON'T STRESS, FINESSE."
