HOW TO EFFECTIVELY USE FRAGRANCE

HOW TO EFFECTIVELY USE FRAGRANCE

What's up gentlemen? I'm Emmanuel from Teaching Men Everything. Everyone, grab your popcorns and drinks and get ready for a little story time.
In secondary/high school, whatever you call it, I was known for one among many things, my smell. Anytime I passed someone by or left a class, one could easily tell that they just missed Emmanuel. Now hold on, it’s not what you think, let me expatiate. I gave a girl a hug one day and the first thing she said after was "Emmanuel, you smell nice", and, anytime I gave someone my hoodie and they returned it a day or two later, I always get compliments like "WOW! your perfume still smells on your hoodie, What's the name?" The brand of Perfume I wore (which will not be mentioned and I don't wear anymore) was neither popular nor expensive, it was just the right one, at that time.
Anyway, enough tooting my own horn, as you can tell by the title or the story, we are discussing Fragrances today. If that tickles your fancy, vamonos!
Fragrances are spirt-like liquids made from essential oils extracted from various flowers and other anchors to give a pleasant and attractive smell on one's body. There are about five types of fragrances which are ranked according to concentration percentage from the weakest to the strongest, in terms of how long they last.
They are:
1. Eau de Fraiche: This has 1-3% concentration and lasts for around just one hour.
2. Eau de Cologne: This has 2-4% concentration and lasts for about two hours.
3. Eau de Toilette: This has 5-15% concentration and lasts for about three hours.
4. Eau de Parfum: This has 15-20% concentration and lasts for around 5-8 hours. This is the most used type of Fragrance.
5. Parfum: This has the highest concentration of about 15-40% and lasts for close to 24 hours.
These classes can be found on the bottle of the fragrance and are useful to know when shopping for a new bottle.
As there are rules for everything in life, there are also rules in applying fragrances to get the best long-lasting result and stand-out, and as always, as your unpaid style advisor, I'll happily list them out for you.
Numero Uno. Start Light: When you are ready to spray your perfume, start small. Two puffs at the pack of the ears are the basic way to go if you don't have an idea of how to spray, then any advance is to your discretion.
2. Spray on the skin right after a shower: After you step out of the shower and you dry your body, the skin is still sensitive and is highly receptive of anything it comes in contact with. So spraying on your skin, especially your pulse points is highly effective and advisable.
3. DO NOT apply on air and then walk in: I see people do this and I just shake my head. They obviously have not come across my blog, and that is why I post contents like this for you to read, apply and share it with those people that I'm sure every one of us has seen. Sorry, I diverted. I mean apart from that being totally useless, it aids in something as abominable as perfume wastage.
4. Less is More: I'm sure you've heard or read this quote somewhere, but not in this context. This quote is applicable to almost all things in life including spraying perfume. If you are looking for a long-lasting effect as read in my story above, over-spraying this is not the way to go. This approach is just nasty because it not only irritates your nose causing you to sneeze uncontrollably (which let's face it is not advisable this Coronavirus period) and it also makes others around you uncomfortable which defeats all the purposes you aim to achieve when wearing a fragrance.
5. Apply on Pulse Points: You may have wondered what pulse or hot points are when you came across it in my second rule, these are areas on the body veins transfer blood close to the skin. They release heat from the body and as such are the most effective places to retain and spread fragrances.
They are:
- The wrists
- Behind the ears
- Below the chin/jaw
- Inside the elbows and
- Behind the knees.
And Finally,
6. Apply on an outfit if dimmed necessary: This is the only optional rule as clothes do not retain liquid when exposed to sun, so fragrances cam evaporate. But don't be so carefree, as spraying a fragrance that is not transparent and has a particular colour can and will stain bright-coloured shirts.
Perfumes are boss moves as they depict wealth even as most good, durable ones are not that expensive to purchase. Wearing perfumes can either make or break your appearance and impression, so if you are out shopping for a new brand or you keep applying your expensive bad boys to the wrong surfaces and they don't seem to last long on the body, I hope you have seen tips here, to help you make boss moves TODAY!

That's it from me for now.
